Places That Truly Have The WOW Factor!

Why not spoil your eyes with some of the world’s most beautiful holiday attractions. Read on to see the top 6 most beautiful destinations. Be aware though, after you see the photo’s you will most definitely want to go as you won’t believe they really exist!

Antelope Canyon, Arizona, United States
This canyon is the result of water flowing for millions of years, which eventually carved out this deep, yet narrow crevice. The magnificent coloured effect is created as light is restricted in the deeper areas which makes the walls reflect and appear to be different colours. The Antelope is located on an island called Navajo near Arizona in the United States.

Pamukkale Hot Springs, Turkey
Pamukkale is a display of hot pools found in Turkey. Over the past million years, these hot springs have transformed the landscape. Although they look like they are formed of snow, that is not possible, as in Turkey temperatures are hot all year round. They are in fact just limestone. So if you are in the mood for a strange, warm bath during your holiday, head to these pools. They can be viewed by taking a bus to the city of Denizli.

Underwater Waterfall, Mauritius Island

This has to be one of the most beautiful sea attractions. Found in the Indian Ocean 2000km away from Africa is the underwater waterfall. The strong ocean currents constantly drive sand from the shores into the abyss below forming this one of a kind waterfall. This can be reached by plane which takes you to the south western shore, where you can stay on the island nearby. Tourists are able to enjoy the relaxed beaches, explore the reefs as well as view the underwater world.

Underwater River, Cenote Angelita, Mexico

This doesn’t look real does it? Well believe us, it is. It’s an actual river under the sea! You will definitely need an underwater camera for this. Next time you visit Mexico take a visit to Cenote Angelita to experience one of the most amazing, natural creations. You are probably wondering how this is even formed? This is the result when hydrogen sulfate mixes with saltwater, which makes the water heavier than regular salt water, forcing it to sink to the bottom, which creates the river.

Hidden Beach, Mexico

Some argue that this hidden beach was formed after a deliberate bombing. As the Marieta Islands are uninhabited it leaves them vulnerable and as a result in the 1900’s it ended up being used as military testing sights decided by the use of Mexican Government. Test bombs are the common cause for many caves and rock formations on the island. The hidden beach is only accessible by swimming to it or driving through a fifty foot tunnel. If you want to visit this hidden beach you can find it on the west of Puerto Vallarta, in Mexico at the mouth of Banderas Bay.

Plitvice Lakes, Croatia

This is Croatia’s most visited tourist attraction, the lakes are a must see! It was credited UNESCO World Heritage status in 1979. This park is so beautiful due to its 16 interlinked waterfalls. What makes this woodland park even more beautiful is the wildlife that call it home, including deers, bears, boars, wolves and some bird species. The park is open all day all year round meaning you do not have to worry about season restrictions. For those of you who are totally engrossed with the beauty of this park, we have some good news; you can stay in accommodation within the park in one of its three hotels.
